Burg to return to work
Butler County Health Department Director Patricia Burg will return to work tomorrow, May 1, after a written reprimand, according to county Personnel Director Douglas Duckett.
The Board of Health met last night and decided, “Ms. Burg’s conduct that day was not appropriate and professional, but it was not an assault; it was not violent,” Duckett said.
She was given a reprimand and a “strong warning that if any conduct like that happens again, it will end here career there,” he said.
To see the complaint against Burg that has left her on administrative leave for several weeks, read a much-commented-on blog here.

Pat Burg and the rest of the “double dippers” in Butler County need to draw their retirement, move on and let someone else who needs a job have one. For them to be drawing retirement AND a huge salary should not be tolerated by the tax paying citizens of Butler County. It is our tax payer dollars that is paying these individuals twice for doing one job. It is time to vote out the “good old boy” network in Hamilton and Butler County and vote in competent individuals and hold them accountable so that this type of situation does not repeat itself.By NULL

The woman started out as a secretary, and berates the many outstanding employees under her department, including staff R.N.’s, some with Master Degrees, paid $12,000.00 less than a secretary in other Butler County departments. As usual, county management could not do the right thing for this retired/ rehired inept manager. How utterly sad Butler Cty has such employees and contractors in its midst without doing the approriate action. What a deplorable and unexcusable continued display of weakness demonstrated by the county and its unqualified department head, recently giving shots w/o medical training. To be frank, sickening.By Totally DISGUSTED

Tell me, since when is it ethical for a board member to leak to an employee the results of an internal investigation before the complainant is made aware? Let me tell you… It’s NOT ethical but that is exactly what was stated as happened with the investigation concerning Patricia Burg! Talk about Butler County’s Good Ole’ Boys Club. It’s hard at work again here in Butler County. So now tomorrow Mrs. Burg will be back at her job being hostile & intimidating to her employees. Everyone needs to get a back bone and stand up to her. Mrs. Anglin has paved the way and now it’s time for every one else to be strong and take a stand. The hostile work environment has gone on long enough and it must stop! Now concerning Mrs. Burg returning to work.. Tell me, when does she work? Do you call going from office to office for hours at a time to talk idle chit chat work? What about coming in late, taking 3 hour lunches, shopping and other misc things on county time work? What about not even going into her own office during work hours yet taking home work to do to earn fake comp time work? Face it Butler County residents, she is ABUSING the system and the County as well as the Board continues to let this happen. It is once and for all time to put an end to her reign as the “Queen” of the BCHD. FYI.. She refers to herself as the queen, and in the past she has even sported a crown and scepter around the office! This insnity has got to stop!By null

It is quite obvious to everyone who has ever worked around Ms. Burg that she has severe and frequent mood swings and temper outburts. She is often verbally abusive to the staff, and this is done in front of anyone unfortunate enough to be there at the time. We have all witnissed her go from ranting and raving at staff one minute, to being charming and friendly to Board Members or others she wants to keep on her good side. It is truly a shame that none of the public is aware of what goes on at the Health Department. Maybe a psychiatric evaluation should be done on Ms. Burg? Couldn’t hurt.By Leslie

Patricia Burg you got away with a dishonest deed again, did’nt you? How sad these well educated board members could not see past your tears you can turn on and off like a light switch. How sad for all of the employees, except for the only one who likes you (Leslie Bishop) they have to come in every day not knowing when you will blow up, or if you will handle yourself professionally. Always having to worry if they will have their jobs from one day to the next. What a very sad place to work. Is this what county management is allowed to do? Ms. Anglin I applaud you for being so strong and standing your grounds. To the others who where in that room, how could you coward down like you did? Shame on you, put yourself in Ms. Anglins place. Would you have wanted her to be truthful and back you up? Or were you so afraid of losing your jobs to stand up and tell the truth? Mr. Duckett, last year a county employee was fired for shoving another employee, why did’nt she get another chance?By good citizen

Pat and Leslie what comes around goes around. One day it will come back at you. You will be judged one day by one man hope you will be able to face him. The board will not be there to back you up.By BCHD employee

Everyone, because Pat or Leslie have not been dealt with by the Health Board, all you have done is caused trouble for those working under Leslie. She will be back to work tomorrow taking her frustrations out on anyone who crosses her path especially those of us who work for her. You are not helping us because we have to deal with her anger when you are not around. As she often says, “If there are no witnesses, it didn’t happen.” PLEASE STOP BECAUSE SHE READS THIS!By null
