Reagan high-speed lanes closing Monday

RONALD REAGAN HIGHWAY LANES CLOSURE IN COLERAIN TOWNSHIP

William W. Brayshaw, the Hamilton County Engineer, would like to announce the closing of the high-speed lanes on Ronald Reagan Highway beginning Monday, March 20, 2006, after 9:00 am. Locations will be the east and westbound Blue Rock Road and Livingston Road overpasses.

Work being performed by Prus Construction Co. is bridge rehabilitation and anticipated to last until June 30, 2006 (weather permitting). Any problems/questions should be directed to either Paul Long with Prus Construction at: 513-321-7774 or to Matt Yunger with the Hamilton County Engineer at 513-946-8420.

Expect longer traffic time and delays. Traffic will be maintained. Updates will be released with the progression of the project.

Ohio 63 bridge lane closed

SR 63 Lane closure Warren County

The eastbound left lane on the State Route 63 bridge over Interstate 75 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 21 for an emergency pothole repair.

Morrow-Woodville Road to close for 6 weeks

MORROW-WOODVILLE ROAD (HARLAN TOWNSHIP)

Neil F. Tunison, Warren County Engineer, has announced that, effective Monday, March 20, 2006, Morrow-Woodville Road will be closed to traffic between S.R. 28 and Vandervoort Road for approximately six (6) weeks.

The road closure will be effective Monday morning at approximately 8:00 a.m.

The Warren County Highway Department will be replacing a large culvert on Morrow-Woodville Road.

Traffic will be detoured around the construction site utilizing S.R. 28 and S.R. 133.

Nordyke Road at the I-275 Overpass

Nordyke Road at the I-275 Overpass ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE IN ANDERSON TOWNSHIP

William W. Brayshaw, the Hamilton County Engineer, is once again announcing the closing of Nordyke Road at the I-275 Overpass in Anderson Township, on Thursday, January 19, 2006 and Friday, January 20, 2006, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Work being performed by Kokosing is bridge deck demolition. Any problems/questions should be directed to either Gary Obert with Kokosing at 513-231-2950 or to Pat Ashcraft with the Hamilton County Engineer at 513-946-8430.

Detour will be routed over Beechmont SR 125 to Hopper Hill and vice versa.

When Low Water Means Detour!

It’s Monday which means the water is down, and the High Street Bridge in Hamilton will once again be the site for slow downs.

Closures are set to begin again today, now that the high water from last week has subsided.

If you want to detour around this area, I would take Main Street to B. If headed to downtown Hamilton I would go right, and follow B street to the Columbia Bridge. I would then make a left and cross the bridge to the next light. At that stop, I would make a second left onto Neilan Blvd. and follow the curves into downtown.

You can also get from the west side to downtown by using the Black Street Bridge to Third. I do find however, that this way is VERY slow during the morning rush hour. The good news about the bridge delay is that it is periodic, not constant so you won’t be inconvenienced all day long. Today’s Hamilton Journal has further details about the closings.

I also saw crews back out on Ohio 4 south of 129 in Hamilton. You’ll encounter the usual lane closures as far south as the Hamilton Plaza shopping center. If anyone knows why they keep working in this area, please let me know!

You don’t need to reroute just be aware that it is there.

Cones are also up along Ohio 127 in New Miami, and Augusberger and Seven Mile avenues are both closed to all traffic. Goodbye shortcut to Trenton and West Middletown! I suggest using Ohio 4 if headed into northern Butler county.

All in all it has been a fairly busy Monday. Gas is also back on the rise, with averages prices around Hamilton, at $2.50 for a gallon of unleaded regular.

Hopefully, I’ll have better news for you tomorrow!
