Uno is number 1
I was thrilled to see Uno (Ch K-Run’s Park Me In First) the 15” Beagle take Best in Show at Westminster last night. I cheered, but my dogs didn’t seem too interested. They don’t seem to take much interest in watching dog shows, unlike other shows dogs are featured in, which they do seem to watch. Probably because there just isn’t as much movement and noise to get their attention.
The group winners from last night were:
- Sporting: Weimaraner; Ch Colsidex Seabreeze Perfect Fit
- Working: Akita; Ch Redwitch Reason To Believe
- Toy: Toy Poodle; Ch Smash JP Win A Victory
I guessed right about the Toy Poodle taking the Toy group. And I really liked the Akita in the working group.
The Beagle is the #5 most popular breed in the U.S. based on registrations according to the AKC, so it is a popular breed. And it was an obvious crowd favorite last night.
What are your thoughts on the Westminster Dog Show?

As a beagle mom, I was so happy to see Uno win! I don’t usually watch the shows but when I read about Uno winning Best of Breed- I had to watch. My beagle was asleep beside me. When he won, I yelled, she jumped! It was long overdue. He truly is Numero Uno.By Kathy
