Darke Egg Farm Will be State’s 5th Largest

Ross-Medford Farms in northern Darke County has received permits to expand its egg farm to house up to 1.65 million birds. The permits will make the egg farm Ohio’s 5th largest in terms of capacity.

The farm at 13803 Ross-Medford Road, near New Weston, up until now had been permitted to have 1.28 million birds.

The farm is owned by the Winner, Rindler and Schwieterman families.

The permits may be appealed no later than May 12 to the Environmental Review Appeals Commission, 309 S. Fourth St., Room 222, Columbus, OH 43215.
