Special budget meeting today
City council will meet at 4 p.m. today in council chambers for a “budget discussion work session.”
Council does not typically meet at 4 p.m. on Fridays. Although, he agenda does not specify, it’s certain this meeting will cycle around the city manager budget cut menu that he handed to council when it received a forecast projecting its general fund will be dry by 2009.
No actions of council are listed on the agenda. Mayor Don Ryan has told me the council will likely act on the budget at its June 25 meeting.
