When should decorating begin?

So the other day I asked when stores should put out their Halloween merchandise and a resounding number of you responded that it shouldn’t be before Sept. 1. Though a lot of you still felt that it shouldn’t be before Oct. 1.

I also promised a second poll: When should people start putting these decorations out at their homes? Vote in the poll and share your opinions.

I think October 1 is about the right time for Halloween. As a side note, I start my Christmas decorating the week after the November election.

The first week in October officially designates the beginning of decorating season for me. I begin with ‘Fall’ type things, then gradually add in the Halloween themed items. It’s my favorite time of year and I want to enjoy it for a while!!!
