Summer school zones

So, I finally have an answer… sort of. I talked to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, and they said they will enforce school zones this summer if summer school is taking place in the building. What I haven’t been able to track down is where all the summer schools will be held. It is rather random from what I understand. So, in the meantime, if you see a lot of cars or children at a school during restricted hours, slow down. I will keep you posted if I find out specifics on schools. I know the high schools may be locations throughout the summer.

High School Musical

Lakota East will be presenting Disney High School Musical in a week, and tickets have gone like hot cakes. Opening night is Friday, April 18.

I am so impressed with the quality of theater productions coming from East and West. I am not sure if people realize how good these productions are.

One of the coolest things about this production is the cooperation its taken among students and staff to coordinate the large cast. Many of those involved are not typically theater students.

Last week, these budding stars visited the Freshman School to encourage students to not only come to the musical, but also to get involved in their school. Many of the cast members stood up to talk about how they participate in multiple activities. From Young Life to track, these students keep busy!

Lakota has so much to offer, and because it is such a large district, administrators are promoting involvement as a way to ensure all students feel connected to their school.

I would love to hear about how you feel connected to your school!
