Council, commissioners to meet
A special meeting of the Middletown City Council and the Butler County Commissioners will be held at 6:30 today, Monday, June 23 at the Manchester Inn.
The council and commissioners will be meeting for dinner with discussion on several issues. Council will be updating the commissioners on its priorities as outlined in Agenda 2008 as well as discuss the street improvement plan which was recently recommended along with an income tax increase to pay for it.

Hey Ed, the outcome by county commissioners was go pound sound Middletown, its your problems, you know your roads, so deal with it. Did you think they were going to pass a sales tax for roads because Middletown spent the money elsewhere. A levy will NEVER pass.By Great Scot

I already pay 2.25% tax in Dayton and have been for years. Question is, on our tax form, will all of this transfer to Middletown ? Is there a cap ? Will I have to actually pay more ? As of now, I can deduct the 1.5% and 1.75% and do not have to shell out anymore. Tax, does the greed of government ever end ?
