Middletown school board, council meet

Middletown’s Board of Education and City Council will have a joint meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, in room 142 of Johnston Hall at Miami University Middletown, at 4200 N. University Blvd.

Together, the groups at set to update and renew the Miami University, Middletown City Schools and city partnership. They’ll give an update on the Middletown Promise scholarship for seniors, and discuss using city resources to promote student service learning, including a partnership between the schools and the city’s park board.

Council will give an update on the city’s 2008 agenda and also give feedback regarding the schools. The groups will also discuss a marketing partnership.
