Who will Ryan taunt tonight? ‘American idol’ latest update result
In less than an hour - we’ll know if Ryan has his claws out for another show.
This week, more than 36 million votes were cast - but who will go?

Why in the world did the producers put David in the middle asking him to choose the group he thought was safe…. That was just mean! Good for your David to just sit in the middle!

Stan I disagree with you. There is no way Syesha should be voted off before Brooke W. & Jason. Based upon talent there are only 3 left - David A., David C. & Syesha. The sad part is that this show has become a poularity contest rather than a singing competition. Loyal callers can keep anyone in, regardless of talent (remember Sanjaya?)By Stan

Michael, I do think David A. is overrated too. But he gets to the older crowd as well as the younger crowd. My mom loves him to death! Kristy was getting better a little as the weeks went by, but she didn’t connect just like Syesha. Shirley, David A. had some type of surgery on his throat a couple of years ago, that’s why you hear the heavy breathing. Far as Syesha, I do agree with everything you say about the high notes and all, but this is a singing competition. I would rather listen to someone who can sing, than someone who is not as good and still moves on because everyone likes them. There would be no point of AI. You see what happen to Mr. “Soul Patrol”! Kristy Lee Cook is very pretty, and I think she would be a great model. I am actually rooting for David C. to win too. I was going for Carly, but until she finds the genre that she is great at, she will be lost every week.By Shirley

I think Syesha needs to go home next because I hate watching her and don’t enjoy listening to her. Just being able to hit the notes does not make you great, there’s nothing original about her. Brooke and Carly need to go home, too. And Jason can’t stay on key. That leaves the 2 Davids, and everyone knows David Cook needs to win. David A. is very limited in the kind of songs he can sing. David A. has a nice voice and will make money selling songs. David Cook will be up there with Kelly and Carrie on song sales. I think David Cook is even better than Daughtry.By Hillary

Ryan was really cruel to keep the contestants and the viewers tormented like that for the whole show. Plus the making David Cook switch sides and making (or attempting to make) David Archuleta choose was mean too. Granted, she wasn’t going to win in the end, but I thought Kristy Lee’s performance was pretty good this week. Much better than Brooke’s (who DESTROYED “Hero” btw) and better than the luau loving Jason Castro.By Carly Smithton

I know that KLC was not going to win AI, but her last song was better than Brooke’s, Syesha’s and Carly’s. I think KLC’s voice can sometimes sound twangy and flat, and she also goes sharp, but this last performance was good enough that she should have stayed and Syesha or Brooke should have gone home. Note: David Cook still rules AI! I am now noticing defects in David A.’s singing (example, the extreme breathing, some kind of speach impediment, too).By Michael
