Ron, a big “thank you” to you and your staff for tackling this huge job every year. I have submitted poetry in the past, but this year was my first entry into the short story competition. With this positive feedback and a few others, I finally have summoned up the courage to start writing a book, something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. This contest was just the nudge I needed to quit dreaming and start doing. Thanks again to everyone for the hard work. 800 entries, wow!
