Lakota East prevails

Lakota East High’s baseball team’s deepest ever postseason run continues.

The Thunderhawks rallied for two runs in the seventh to tie the game and then pushed across a run in the 11th to beat Vandalia-Butler 4-3 Thursday in the Division I regional semifinals at the University of Cincinnati.

In the regionals for the first time in school history, East (18-11) advances to Friday’s finals against the winner of today’s St. Xavier-Moeller game. That game is about to get under way at UC.
