Badin state championship game: Nothing across for Crusaders in weird top of the seventh

A Badin fan wearing a “Seger” shirt was hit in the back of the head while looking down on a high foul pop. After some attention by medical staff, it appears she’ll be OK.

What looked like a one-out single by Mike Roman ended up being a double play. Roman was caught in a rundown between first and second as pinch-runner Marc Davide was scoring. After Zach Toerner slapped the tag on Roman, the Rams appealed to third that Davide missed the base, and the umpire calls him out.

It’s 8-0 heading to the bottom of the seventh.

Badin has Zach Toerner, Eric Gerbus and Garrett Seger due up.
