“To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen talks in West Chester Twp.
My background is in the performing arts, so I know the difference between a dead crowd and one that is “live.”
The crowd that attended Chris Hansen’s talk tonight at the Marriott Cincinnati North was definitely live.
As Hansen related behind-the-scenes stories from the show, the crowd of over 100 social workers, educators and interested people from the area gasped, laughed and collectively responded on cue to the high and low points, as one would hope a rapt audience would do.
The crowd wasn’t blindly worshiping a celebrity, though. Hansen may have had an estimated 40 million people watch “To Catch a Predator’s” 12 episodes (even some of the people he later caught, he said), but tonight’s audience kept him busy for an hour answering some very intelligent questions. I’ll post some of them, along with his reponses, in tomorrow’s post.
