Cancer society names Bartel events director
The American Cancer Society welcomes Pam Bartel, of Centerville, as its new distinguished events director for Southwest Ohio.

Bartel will assist volunteers in planning the American Cancer Society Cattle Baron's Balls in Dayton and Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Golf Classic presented by National City, and a new corporate golf tournament in Dayton.
These events support the Society's research, education, advocacy and service programs in Southwest Ohio.
Bartel comes to the American Cancer Society after playing a role as a volunteer at the Cattle Baron's Ball of Dayton. She also brings several years of experience in medical sales.

ACG selected as county Intuit Solution provider
ACG, Incorporated announced it has been selected as an Intuit Solution Provider. ACG, Incorporated offers a range of consulting services for Quick Books Enterprise Solutions developed by Intuit Inc., a provider of business and financial management solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, consumers and accounting professionals.
The Intuit Solution Provider Program will enable ACG, Incorporated to better serve regional clients and build business through the sale, implementation and service of integrated solutions. The program's lead offering, QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, is a business management solution designed specifically for growing businesses.
The software helps businesses efficiently input, organize and access the information they need to manage finances, inventory, sales, purchasing and employees, and make key decisions for growth.
Huntington Learning Center hosts open house
Huntington Learning Center in West Chester Twp. will conduct a grand opening celebration 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at the center, 8179A Princeton-Glendale Road.
The center, which opened to the public in late February is locally owned and operated by West Chester Twp. resident Dan Mathis.
During the open house, the public will be able to tour the center and learn how Huntington Learning Center works with students from the area who need help with reading, vocabulary, comprehension and math skills.
The event will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Ambassadors from the West Chester Chamber Alliance and will feature free refreshments provided throughout the event by The Mobile Cone.
There will also be a performance at 2:30 p.m. by the all-star cheer team from Cheer Force, Fairfield, as well as a demonstration at 3:30 p.m. by the Hamilton-Fairfield Tae Kwon Do Center.
