A Cincinnati man died in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on Hamilton-Mason Road.

A 1996 Chevrolet driven by Nichole Long, 19, of Hamilton pulled out of Quail Run Road in front of a 1991 Nissan driven by Stephen Edwards, 21, of Cincinnati. Edwards drove off the right side of the road to avoid hitting the Chevrolet, deputies said.

Consequently, the vehicle struck a concrete bridge abutment head-on, authorities said.

Quimby, a passenger in Edwards' vehicle, was taken to Bethesda North Hospital in Blue Ash, where he was pronounced dead.

Edwards was taken to Middletown Regional Hospital by Liberty Twp. Life Squad. There was no update on his condition Wednesday evening.

The sheriff's office did not release further information regarding the crash, which remains under investigation.
