FAIRFIELD TWP. — Police from three jurisdictions converged on a Fairfield Twp. home Thursday night, April 10, to execute a search warrant and arrest a man suspected of dealing drugs.
Hamilton, Middletown and Fairfield Twp. officers seized 80 grams of methamphetamines, $6,000, 13 guns, marijuana, pills and scales at the home of Byron Hornsby in the 1400 block of Tuley Road. The raid occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Hornsby, 49, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamines, a second-degree felony, but additional charges may come later from a grand jury indictment, said Sgt. Wade McQueen, of Hamilton's vice section. McQueen said other arrests may also come from the ongoing investigation, which began in Middletown and led to Hornsby's residence.
Guns that were seized include two shotguns and 12 handguns, one of which resembles a writing pen.
"The drug trade knows no boundaries, and taking a dangerous felon off the street benefits people from our city and region," said Hamilton Chief Neil R. Ferdelman.
Hornsby was released on a $20,080 bond, Friday, April 11, from the Butler County Jail shortly after his arrest, authorities said.
