Tony Campana of Springboro has signed with the Chicago Cubs. The University of Cincinnati center fielder was selected in the 13th round of the Major League Baseball draft last week.

He will report to Boise, Idaho, and play for the Hawks, a short-season class-A team. Known for his base-stealing prowess, the 5-foot-8, 151-pound Campana stole 44 bases and hit .338 for the 39-20 Bearcats, making first-team All-Big East.
