HAMILTON — Year after year, the Butler County Fair helps make near and dear memories for children and adults alike.
For sisters Becky and Allison Korb, the 2007 Butler County Fair will be remembered as the year they shared the winning titles with their livestock.

Out of 180 exhibitors, Allison won the Reserve Showman of Showmen in the swine department, while Becky holds the title of Grand Showman of Showmen in swine.
"Ever since we've been able to hold up a cane, we've been showing. We haven't missed a year yet," Becky said.
Becky recently finished her first year at Purdue University, where she's majoring in agricultural education. At 19 years old, this is her last year competing at the fair.
"I've been working for this for 11 years. Hard work does pay off. It's so gratifying," she said.
Allison, 17, has two more years to compete. She will enter her senior year at Franklin City High School in Brookville, Ind., this fall.
When it was revealed that Becky and Allison were the Grand and Reserve Showman of Showmen, it was an emotional moment for their entire family.
"It's taken the whole family to get here. I'm just glad we finally made it," Becky said.
Becky and Allison have grown up raising and showing livestock in the fair. Thirty years ago, their dad, Jeff Korb, won Grand Showman of all Showmen at the Butler County Fair. The girls' mom, Lynn Korb, won Showman of Showmen in sheep while their Uncle Mark won Showman of Showmen in the swine department.
"Our family has been showing for 45 years," Becky said.
Becky and Allison aren't the only Korb family members to excel in the swine department this year
Their cousin Jonathan Korb made it to the final drive while their other cousin, David Korb, received 4th place overall.
"It just goes to show how well we've been shown by our older cousins, uncle, dad and mom," Becky said.
The two girls have put a great deal of time into training and raising their livestock. Together, Becky and Allison would walk their pigs, Marcus and Larry, three times a day.
For the Korb family, walking their livestock has often been a family event.
The girls' older sister, Elizabeth, and older brother, Andy, showed swine, as well.
"When we were little, we used to walk our pigs all together," Allison said.
"Next year, I'm going to try really hard to become the Grand Showman of Showmen. As long as I try my best, I'll be happy, though," Allison said.
