COLERAIN TWP. — Taylor Williams had the kind of game he hoped for, but did not expect in the 33rd Ron Woyan SWOFCA East-West All-Star football game Thursday, June 5 at Colerain High School.
The Lakota East senior carried the ball 11 times for 90 yards and two touchdowns in leading the East squad to its second straight win, 41-21.

"That sounds pretty good," Williams said when told of his unofficial statistics. "Our offensive line was so amazing. We couldn't have put up half these points without them."
Williams' first touchdown was the East squad's third score of the game. It came on East's first possession of the second quarter. After taking over control on downs at the West 28-yard-line, East marched the ball down to the 2-yard-line on six plays before Williams took the plunge into the end zone.
"The coaches just told me to pound it in there," Williams said.
His final touchdown also was the East team's final score, giving it a 41-7 lead with 7:38 remaining in the game. Williams burst through the line for a 57-yard romp. He nearly was caught from behind, but found a way to fall into the end zone for the score.
"We struggled on offense at first," Williams said, "but once we got clicking, we just kept pounding away at them."
The West squad put together back-to-back scores in the fourth quarter on touchdown passes to St. Xavier's Danny Milligan — one from the arm of Monroe's Tyler Osterman — but it was too little too late.
4 honored by SWOFCA
Four Butler Countians received honorary member status during halftime of the game.
Jerry Scrivner, Terry Merz, Doug Krause and Brent Nance, all former coaches in Butler County, were honored.
