HAMILTON — Hamilton High School senior linebacker Denicos Allen has verbally committed to play football at Michigan State.

The 6-foot, 205-pound Allen had also been considering Cincinnati and Illinois before announcing his decision Tuesday morning, Oct. 7.

With a team-high 58.5 tackles, Allen is a big reason why the Big Blue defense is the top-ranked unit in the Greater Miami Conference, allowing just 174.9 yards and 11.1 points per game.

Allen leads the conference with 5.5 sacks, and his two fumble recoveries are tied for second in the league. He also has one forced fumble and one blocked kick.
