COLLEGE CONNECTION
Fairborn's Mullins one of the best in MAC
Saturday, June 07, 2008
Miami University linebacker Clayton Mullins (Fairborn) was named a preseason first-team All-Mid-American Conference player in Phil Steele's 2008 College Football Preview magazine.
That's not really surprising since Mullins was the MAC's Defensive Player of the Year in 2007. The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder led Miami with 143 tackles.
Extras
Earlier this spring, Mullins made the watch list for the 2008 Bronko Nagurski Trophy, an award given to the best defensive player in college football. Among the preseason All-MAC second-team picks is senior linebacker Joey Hudson (Piqua).
