"Unfortunately, the bigg's operation in Cincinnati Mills did not fit into the company's business plans for the future," according to the release.
Company officials said the bigg's store is expected to sell its inventory over the next several weeks and it is anticipated the store to close in late June.
The release did not indicate how many employees work at the Cincinnati Mills bigg's, but officials have offered employees positions in other stores, as well as transitional and outplacement services. There are about a dozen other bigg's stores in the Greater Cincinnati area.
